SUNDAY IGBOHO THREATENS TO NAME POLITICIANS LINKED TO OYO STUDENTS’ ABDUCTION
June 05, 2026
Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo has threatened to release the names of politicians allegedly behind the abduction of students in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. He made the claim while reacting to recent developments surrounding the incident and the handling of the case.
Speaking during a meeting with newly elected executive members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) led by Akinteye Bàbàtunde at his residence in Ibadan, Igboho said he had personally offered to help dislodge the suspected bandits but was allegedly opposed by the state government.
He also denied reports that he demanded money from the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde to secure the release of the 47 abducted students, insisting his involvement was purely voluntary and motivated by concern for the victims.
