SUPREME COURT DISMISSES APPEAL AGAINST OYEBANJI’S APC CANDIDACY

The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by APC governorship aspirant, Mrs. Abimbola Olawumi, challenging the candidature of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the party's governorship primary election. The apex court upheld the June 18 judgment of the Court of Appeal, bringing the legal dispute to a close.


Ekiti State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Dayo Apata (SAN), confirmed the judgment to the press. He said the ruling finally ends all litigation surrounding Governor Biodun Oyebanji's emergence as the APC governorship candidate during the party's last primary election.
