June 07, 2026
The Federal Government has announced plans to generate about 7,000 direct jobs through an estate-based ranching programme aimed at empowering youths and women while improving livestock production.
The initiative, disclosed in a statement by the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development on Friday, followed a strategic engagement led by the Minister, Idi Maiha.
According to the ministry, the programmed is designed to create structured opportunities for participation in ranch operations and related livestock businesses, with a focus on modern and sustainable production systems across the dairy, meat, and leather value chains.
