June 15, 2026

Muslim women under the Federation of Muslim Women’s Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Ekiti State Chapter, have pledged massive support for Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election ahead of Saturday’s governorship election. The assurance was given during a meeting with the Governor at the Government House in Ado Ekiti, where they commended his inclusive leadership and people-focused policies.

The State Amira of FOMWAN, Alhaja Aisat Oluwatoyin Jimoh, said Governor Oyebanji has strengthened the participation of Muslims in governance and promoted religious harmony across the state. She noted that his administration has provided opportunities for Muslims and fostered peace and development, prompting the women to mobilise support for his re-election.

Governor Oyebanji thanked the Muslim women for their endorsement and assured them of his commitment to serving all residents fairly. He also urged Ekiti people to remain peaceful before, during, and after the election, stressing that the unity and progress of the state should remain a priority for everyone.
