OYEBANJI PLEDGES SUPPORT TO STRENGTHEN FEDERAL CHARACTER COMMISSION

Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has pledged support for efforts to reposition the Federal Character Commission as a more effective institution for promoting equity, inclusion and national cohesion.
The governor gave the assurance on Tuesday at the opening of the 2026 Executive and Management Leadership Retreat of the commission in Ikogosi-Ekiti.
Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof Habibat Adubiaro, Oyebanji said the Federal Character Commission plays a strategic role in promoting fairness, balanced representation and public confidence in governance.
He urged participants at the retreat to develop practical recommendations that would strengthen the commission’s effectiveness and credibility.
