OYEBANJI TO NAME NEW EKITI COURT COMPLEX AFTER JUSTICE OYEBISI OMOLEYE

October 07, 2026

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, says the new court complex being constructed by the state government will be named after the state’s first female Chief Judge, Justice Oyebisi Omoleye.

Oyebanji announced this during a valedictory court session in honour of the retiring jurist in Ado-Ekiti.

The governor also presented Justice Omoleye with a brand-new Toyota SUV in recognition of her contributions to the judiciary and service to Ekiti State and Nigeria.

Justice Omoleye served as Chief Judge of Ekiti State from 2003 to 2006 before spending 20 years at the Court of Appeal. She is retiring at the age of 70.

The retired jurist described her retirement as a moment of gratitude, saying she leaves active service with no regret.
